We are proud to present Mikhail Voskresensky, recognized as one of the last celebrated pianists of the Russian school of the 20th century. Mr. Voskresensky has appeared as a soloist with many of the world’s leading orchestras, including the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, China Philharmonic, Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, Warsaw National Philharmonic, Russian National Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic, Moscow Philharmonic, Hungarian Radio Symphony, Mariinsky Orchestra, Christchurch Symphony, Music Fest Perugia Orchestra, and Orquesta Carlos Chávez. Over his career, he has performed with more than 150 conductors, including Franz Konwitschny, Yevgeny Svetlanov, Kurt Masur, Kirill Kondrashin, Charles Dutoit, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, John Pritchard, Arvīds Jansons, and Yuri Temirkanov.

A graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Mr. Voskresensky rose to prominence after early successes at the First Schumann International Competition and the inaugural Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. He has earned numerous distinctions, including the title “National Artist of Russia,” the Order of the Rising Sun from the Emperor of Japan, and the Nikolai Rubinstein Gold Medal. Following in the footsteps of his teacher, Lev Oborin, he became the longest-serving professor in the history of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

Born in Berdiansk, Ukraine, Mr. Voskresensky openly opposed Russia’s invasion in 2022 and subsequently left the country. Since arriving in the United States, he has received significant support and interest from both the media and the music community.

He currently serves as an Artist-in-Residence at The Juilliard School in New York.
